Hi, friends! Wow, it has been a minute since I have chatted with you all. I hope you are doing well, during these unusual, overwhelming, and exhausting times we are experiencing. I personally have felt so burnt out from everything the last while. Anyone else? I've been rather sparse on social media for the sake of my own mental health. I am incredibly grateful for the amazing voices, resources, and people who have been filling my feed with good things. But sometimes the negativity online really weighs me down. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen me posting about the Mental Health Challenge I created for the month of May. Each day was something to help you "fill your cup." I love the quote that says something like, "You can't fill from an empty cup." When life gets heavy, it is so vital that we fill our cups.
But I wanted to create another challenge, for myself really, to fill the cups of other people. I created a "Random Acts of Kindness Challenge" for the month of July. You wouldn't have to do it in July, but that's when I plan on starting it. I hope each of these not only blesses someone but blesses you for your kindness.
I love the satisfaction of bringing joy and kindness into the life of someone else. Our world needs kindness, maybe now more than ever. So spread a little cheer and love to your friends, family, and complete strangers.
Here is the graphic for you to use to keep track. You can even save this on your phone. If you choose to participate, I would love for you to tag me so I can see what you're up to. :)
P.S. Feel free to substitute these for something else you would like to do to spread kindness. I know these might not always be possible on that specific date, so just do your best.
